Lemoore Station is a small Central Valley city of about 6,000 people, located 40 miles southwest of Fresno in agricultural Kings County. Drivers reach it via State Route 41 north-south or Highway 198 east-west, which connects to I-5 fifteen miles west. The adjacent Lemoore Naval Air Station generates steady traffic, and the city gets its name from its origins as a railroad stop on the old Southern Pacific line.
