Leland is a small farming town of about 1,000 people in north-central Illinois, 80 miles southwest of Chicago. Take I-39 to Exit 73, then Route 71 west for three miles. Most visitors come via I-55 south to I-80 west to I-39 north. The town hosts an annual Scarecrow Festival each October when dozens of creative scarecrows line the streets.
