united states

Lehighton sits along the Lehigh River in Carbon County, serving as a gateway to the Pocono Mountains. Most visitors take I-476 to Exit 74, then follow local roads into town. Route 209 runs north-south through the center, connecting to the Delaware Water Gap and Allentown, while Route 443 heads east-west toward I-80. The town still uses its original 1800s stone arch bridge to carry Route 209 traffic over the river.
