Most visitors arrive on I-45 from Houston or other Texas cities, while locals commute daily to NASA's Johnson Space Center and Houston's medical center. The city is home to the original Kemah Boardwalk with its iconic 65-foot Ferris wheel overlooking Galveston Bay.
