Leadwood is a small Missouri city in St. Francois County, about 60 miles south of St. Louis in the Ozark foothills. Take State Route 8 west from Farmington for the main access, or use US 67 to connect with longer routes. Most trips are local commutes within the county. The volunteer fire department still operates from its original 1960s red brick firehouse on Main Street.
