Leadore is a tiny mountain town of 135 people in east-central Idaho's high desert, sitting at 5,800 feet between the Beaverhead and Lemhi ranges. Located on State Highway 28, it's 45 miles north of the Idaho Falls area and 30 miles south of Salmon. Most visitors reach it via Interstate 15, exiting at Dubois and taking Highway 22 west to Highway 28. The town got its name from the lead ore deposits that attracted early miners.
