Lawrence is a waterfront village in Nassau County's Five Towns area, about 15 miles east of Manhattan. Take the Belt Parkway to Nassau Expressway south, then Rockaway Turnpike east to reach it. The LIRR Far Rockaway line connects directly to Penn Station in 45 minutes. JFK Airport sits just 10 miles away. The village sits on a peninsula between Jamaica Bay and the Atlantic, giving it unique water access on both sides. The Lawrence Yacht and Country Club, founded in 1897, features one of Long Island's oldest golf courses.
