Lawrence is a small farming community in southwestern Michigan's Van Buren County, home to under 1,000 residents. Located about 15 miles from Kalamazoo, it's accessible via State Route 40 and local roads from Interstate 94 exits at Paw Paw or Mattawan. The town sits in the Paw Paw River valley among rolling agricultural land. Lawrence features one of Michigan's few remaining covered bridges spanning the Paw Paw River.
