Lawler is a small farming town in northeastern Iowa with 363 residents, reached via Highway 9 which runs east-west through the community. The route connects to Charles City 25 miles west and continues toward the Mississippi River. Highway 63 intersects nearby for north-south travel, while I-35 sits about 60 miles west for longer trips. The town's historic grain elevator remains a prominent landmark visible from the highway.
