Laurel Park is a small mountain town of 2,400 people in Henderson County, about 25 miles south of Asheville via I-26. Most visitors arrive from Charlotte (130 miles) or use the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway. The closest airport is Asheville Regional, 30 miles northeast. The town gets its name from the mountain laurel that creates stunning pink and white blooms throughout the surrounding Blue Ridge forests each spring.
