Lauderdale is a small city tucked between Minneapolis and Saint Paul, accessible via I-94 and Highway 280. Most visitors take I-94 to the Snelling Avenue exit, about 6 miles from downtown Minneapolis or 4 miles from Saint Paul. The compact community of 2,400 residents sits along the Mississippi River valley with rolling, tree-lined streets. The 1928 Lauderdale Fire Station still operates as the town's active firehouse.
