Langdon is a small farming town in north-central North Dakota, about 30 miles from the Canadian border. Highway 1 runs east-west through town, connecting to Devils Lake and Minot, while Highway 66 heads north to Cavalier and south to Carrington. The area is classic northern Great Plains country with endless wheat and soybean fields. The red brick courthouse from 1911 dominates downtown with its prominent clock tower.
