Lamont is a small farming town in the Palouse hills about 25 miles south of Spokane via State Route 27. Most visitors drive from Spokane (25 minutes south on US-195 to SR-27) or from Pullman (20 minutes north on SR-27). The town's massive grain elevator serves as a landmark visible for miles across the surrounding wheat fields.
