Lake Viking is a small recreational community in northwest Missouri built around a private 573-acre lake. Reach it via US Highway 36, about 20 miles west of Cameron or 25 miles east of St. Joseph. Kansas City International Airport is 70 miles away. The lakeside development features distinctive A-frame vacation homes from the 1960s that still serve as weekend retreats.
