Lake View is a small Iowa town of about 970 people in Sac County, built around Black Hawk Lake. Highway 71 runs north-south through town, connecting to Spencer and Carroll, while Highway 175 goes east-west to Sac City. Most visitors come for the lake recreation at Black Hawk Lake State Park, which surrounds Iowa's largest natural lake at 957 acres, formed by ancient glacial activity.
