Lake Bluff is a lakefront community 30 miles north of Chicago along Lake Michigan's shore. Take US-41 north through the North Shore suburbs or use I-94 running parallel inland. Route 176 connects from the west to I-294. The scenic Sheridan Road hugs the lakefront through all North Shore towns. Metra's Union Pacific North Line provides direct rail service to downtown Chicago, with EV charging available at the station. The 1895 Victorian train depot still serves passengers today with its original gingerbread trim and red tile roof.
