Lake Arthur is a small farming town in southwestern Louisiana, accessible via US Highway 165 about 15 miles north of Lake Charles. Most visitors exit I-10 at Jennings and drive south through rice country. The town of 2,600 sits amid vast agricultural fields in Jefferson Davis Parish. It's famous for having the world's largest roadside crab statue, a 12-foot-tall, 2,000-pound monument to Louisiana's seafood heritage.
