Lake Ann is a tiny village of 273 people in northwest Michigan, about 15 miles south of Traverse City via US-31. It sits on the southern shore of its namesake lake, surrounded by state forest land that's popular for fishing, skiing, and snowmobiling. The village maintains a small public beach with a fishing pier known for excellent smallmouth bass.
