Lacona is a farming village in central New York's Oswego County, about 30 miles northeast of Syracuse. Most visitors take I-81 to Route 104 east through Sandy Creek, while Route 11 runs directly through town. The area gets heavy lake-effect snow from nearby Lake Ontario. Each August, the village hosts Woodsmen's Field Days featuring traditional logging competitions like tree climbing and chainsaw sculpting.
