La Villa is a small Rio Grande Valley city of 3,000 people, located 15 miles west of McAllen via US Highway 83. The main routes include US 83 for east-west travel and Highway 107 for north-south connections to Edinburg. It's about 8 miles from the Mexican border in flat agricultural country with hot summers and mild winters. The distinctive pink city hall building serves as the town's most recognizable landmark.
