L'Anse is a small lakeside town on Keweenaw Bay in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, reachable via US Highway 41 from Marquette (45 miles south) or the Keweenaw Peninsula. The area gets heavy snow in winter and enjoys mild summers by Lake Superior. The Ojibwa Casino Resort features a distinctive lighthouse-shaped tower visible from the main highway.
