Kranzburg is a farming town of 175 people in eastern South Dakota, about 15 miles northwest of Watertown via Highway 20. Most visitors arrive from Watertown (20 minutes) or take I-29 from Sioux Falls then connect west on Highway 20. The town's grain elevator towers over the surrounding cornfields, serving as a landmark visible for miles across the flat prairie.
