Kittrell is a tiny Vance County community just off I-85 between Durham and the Virginia line. Take Exit 215 to reach the town via NC Highway 1, about 45 minutes north of Durham. The area serves both local traffic connecting to Franklinton and Wake Forest, plus long-distance travelers on the I-85 corridor. The town's post office has operated continuously since 1881.
