Kissimmee sits just south of Orlando in central Florida, serving as a gateway to Disney World and other theme parks. The city connects easily to the region via Interstate 4 running along its northern edge and US Highway 192 cutting through downtown as the main tourist strip. Popular routes include the 30-minute drive north to Orlando on I-4 and the hour-long trip west to Tampa. Orlando International Airport is 25 miles northeast via State Road 417. The historic red brick Osceola County Courthouse still anchors downtown Broadway, a reminder of the city's 1880s cattle ranching origins.
