Kiron is a farming town of 249 people in western Iowa, reached via Highway 39 about 15 miles southeast of Denison. Most traffic comes from local farm routes or connects through Denison to reach US-30 and other major highways. The town still operates one of Iowa's original wooden grain elevators from the early 1900s.
