Kingston sits in eastern Tennessee's Roane County along the Tennessee River, about 45 minutes west of Knoxville via I-40 (Exit 352). The city serves as a gateway to Watts Bar Lake and connects to regional destinations via Highway 70 and State Route 58. Kingston famously served as Tennessee's capital for exactly one day in 1807.
