Kilmichael is a small farming town in central Mississippi's Montgomery County, about 90 miles northeast of Jackson via I-55 and Highway 35. Most visitors take the Winona exit off I-55 and drive east on Highway 35 through rural farmland. The town sits in rolling hills where the flat Delta gives way to more varied terrain, serving as an agricultural center near the Big Black River headwaters where morning fog often blankets the bottomland.
