Killdeer is a western North Dakota oil boom town of about 1,000 people along Highway 200. Take I-94 west from Bismarck, then Highway 22 north, or follow Highway 200 directly from Dickinson (35 miles southeast). The massive grain elevator complex towers over the prairie and serves as a landmark visible for miles in every direction.
