Key Vista is a small Pasco County community of about 1,400 people located 45 miles north of Tampa along US Highway 19. The main route from Tampa follows US-19 north through New Port Richey, while I-75 travelers can exit at SR-52 and head west. Popular trips include daily Tampa commutes and weekend drives north to Crystal River's manatee springs. The town gets its name from elevated terrain that once provided clear views to the Gulf of Mexico.
