Kershaw is a small South Carolina town 40 miles northeast of Columbia and 25 miles south of Charlotte. US 601 provides the main north-south route, connecting to I-77 near Rock Hill for longer trips. State Route 9 runs east-west through town. The area features rolling Piedmont countryside with pine forests and farms. The restored 1912 train depot downtown now houses the visitor center with original railroad artifacts.
