Kerrville sits in the Texas Hill Country along the Guadalupe River, about 65 miles northwest of San Antonio. Take I-10 west to Junction, then Highway 27 south, or use the scenic route through Fredericksburg on Highway 16. The river flows right through downtown, where you can walk the riverbank at Louise Hays Park and watch ducks paddle under the low-water crossing on Water Street.
