Kensett is a small Arkansas city of about 2,000 people located along Highway 67, roughly 50 miles northeast of Little Rock. The town sits at the intersection of highways 67 and 36, making it a convenient stop for travelers heading between Little Rock and Batesville. Most visitors arrive via Highway 67 from Interstate 40 or use Highway 36 for east-west travel. The restored 1920s movie theater downtown still shows weekend films.
