The city serves as home to Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport and sits along Lake Pontchartrain's south shore. I-10 is the main route through town, connecting to New Orleans eastbound and Baton Rouge westbound, while Veterans Memorial Boulevard runs as the primary commercial corridor. What makes Kenner unique is that it's one of the few American cities where a major commercial airport lies entirely within city limits.
