Kennard is a small farming town in east-central Indiana, about 45 miles east of Indianapolis via Interstate 70 and local roads. State Road 140 runs through the community, connecting to the regional highway network. The town sits amid Henry County's agricultural landscape and experiences typical Midwest continental weather. A restored 1890s grain elevator still operates seasonally, representing one of the area's few remaining examples of 19th-century agricultural infrastructure.
