Kell is a tiny farming community in southern Illinois with just 145 residents. Take I-57 to Exit 71 at Centralia, then head west about 10 miles on local roads. Most trips are short runs to Centralia for services or longer hauls to Mount Vernon. The town's 1898 one-room schoolhouse still stands as a piece of local history.
