Kaycee is a ranching town of 280 people in central Wyoming, sitting right on I-25 between Casper (45 miles south) and Buffalo (35 miles north). It's positioned at 4,700 feet on the high plains, with Highway 190 heading west toward the Bighorn Mountains. The area experiences cold, snowy winters and warm, dry summers with persistent winds. Kaycee serves as the gateway to Hole-in-the-Wall country, the badlands hideout once used by Butch Cassidy's Wild Bunch.
