Junction is a tiny ranching town where US 89 and State Route 153 meet in Utah's high desert. It's a natural pit stop between Richfield (30 miles north) and points south, plus the gateway to Fish Lake via SR-153. At 6,000 feet elevation with surrounding mountain ranges, it experiences typical high desert weather with snowy winters that can close mountain passes. The town literally sits at the junction of two highways and follows the old Spanish Trail route.
