Junction City is a small Missouri town of 372 people in the wooded hills of Madison County. Highway 72 runs right through town, connecting east to Farmington (25 miles) and west toward other rural communities. Most visitors come from Fredericktown, 15 miles northeast. The town got its name from being at the junction of two old railroad lines that once crossed here.
