Junction City is a small Arkansas town of 564 people in Union County, connected by Highway 167 running north-south through the community. Most trips head south to El Dorado (15 miles) or north toward Fordyce, with longer routes using I-20 connections near the Louisiana border. The town got its name from sitting at the crossing of two historic railroad lines that hauled timber through southern Arkansas.
