Joseph is a tiny mountain town in northeastern Oregon's Wallowa Valley, gateway to the Eagle Cap Wilderness and Wallowa Lake. Getting there means a long drive on Highway 82 from La Grande (70 miles) or winding mountain routes from Boise. The town sits at 4,200 feet surrounded by the dramatic Wallowa Mountains. It's home to the largest bronze foundry in the American West.
