Jonestown is a small Delta town of 852 people in Coahoma County, reached via Highway 61 about 30 miles south of Memphis. The main route is Highway 61 from Memphis, with Highway 322 providing east-west access to Highway 49 and I-55. Moon Lake nearby inspired Tennessee Williams' childhood summers and later appeared in his plays.
