Joliet is a small farming town of 613 people in south-central Montana, sitting along the Yellowstone River between mountain ranges. Interstate 90 connects it to Billings (40 miles northeast) and Bozeman (120 miles northwest), while Highway 78 heads south to Red Lodge and the Beartooth Highway. The town's 1914 railroad depot still stands downtown, marking its origins as a Northern Pacific Railway stop.
