Johnson is a small Oklahoma town of about 680 people, located 35 miles southeast of Oklahoma City in farm country. Take I-40 to the Shawnee exit, then head south on local roads to reach it. Most folks here commute to Shawnee (10 miles north) or Oklahoma City for work. The volunteer fire department has been protecting the community since 1979 from their station that also hosts local gatherings.
