Johnson is a tiny farming town in southeastern Nebraska, 65 miles from Lincoln via Highway 2 and Highway 67. The area is classic Great Plains agricultural country with rolling fields and a continental climate. Most traffic uses Highway 67 for local trips to Auburn or longer hauls to Lincoln and Omaha. The old Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad line still marks the town's original commercial center.
