Johnson City is a small farming town in far western Kansas, about 50 miles from the Colorado border. US Highway 160 runs right through town, connecting east to Dodge City and west to Colorado. State Highway 27 provides north-south access to Ulysses and Scott City. The town serves as Stanton County's seat and features one of the last original Harvey House railroad depots from the Santa Fe Railway era.
