Johnson is a small Arkansas city of about 3,600 people located 10 miles south of Fayetteville via Highway 16. Most visitors take I-49 to the Highway 16 exit, then drive east for 8 miles. The city sits in Washington County's rolling hills and serves as a quiet residential community with easy access to the Fayetteville-Springdale metro area. The restored 1920s Johnson School building now serves as a community center with local historical displays.
