Jesup is a farming town of 2,500 people in east-central Iowa, reached via Highway 281 from Waterloo (15 miles southeast) or Highway 218 from Cedar Rapids (45 miles). The downtown still features the old Jesup Opera House from the town's more prosperous early 1900s era.
