Jefferson is a small county seat in northeastern Ohio, about 50 miles from Cleveland via I-80 and State Route 11. The town sits on rolling farmland 20 miles inland from Lake Erie, with Route 46 connecting it east-west to Ashtabula and Geneva. Most visitors arrive via I-80, using Jefferson as a convenient stop between major cities. The 1851 Greek Revival courthouse with its white columns and clock tower dominates the historic town square.
