Jasper, the Dubois County seat, sits in southern Indiana's rolling hills about 45 miles from Evansville. I-64 runs just south of town, connecting to Louisville and Evansville, while SR-162 and SR-231 handle local traffic to Huntingburg and surrounding communities. The area's German heritage shows in its furniture industry and architecture. The 1910 courthouse downtown still chimes every quarter hour from its clock tower.
