Jamestown is a tiny riverside community of 62 people in Berkeley County, about 45 miles northeast of Charleston via US-17A. Take I-26 to US-17A for longer trips, or use Highway 17A directly from Charleston or Georgetown. The area sits along the Santee River in typical Lowcountry terrain of pine forests and wetlands. The historic Jamestown Ferry has been crossing the Santee River here since the 1700s.
